Position Vacant - Head Miller

The Manildra Group is a major force in Australia's agricultural and food industries. Manildra is the largest user of wheat for industrial purposes in Australia. The Manildra Group is a leading supplier of raw ingredients to the food, beverage, confectionery, and paper producing industries.

We are seeking a motivated Head Miller to work within our Bomaderry plant, located near Nowra, on the South Coast of NSW. The Bomaderry plant produces several products derived from Wheat Flour including Gluten, Starch, Glucose, Ethanol and Stock feeds.

The Flour Milling Unit ensures the effective and efficient delivery of quality and strategically focussed milling services. The Head Miller manages, maintains, monitors and reports on production requirements and output, new equipment and maintenance requirements, milling facilities, systems and procedures, as well as provides information and advice on production issues to senior management as required to facilitate informed decision making. About the role. The duties of the Head Miller will include, but not be limited to; • Mill flour extractions • Miller maintenance in cooperation with the Maintenance Department • Setting up of milling equipment • Mill Health and Safety, and mill housekeeping • Reporting efficiencies, extractions, down time, and other reports as required • Maintaining strict quality processes • Break releases • Fault-finding and rectification About you. The successful applicant will possess; • A relevant qualification in Flour Milling with demonstrated experience • Substantial knowledge in and a strong commitment to WHS, HACCP, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong computer literacy • Highly developed and demonstrated problem-solving ability and the capacity to fault find • Ability to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders
