ATMA originated in 1963 and has continued to build by reassessing the needs of members with a long term focus of matters relevant to the good of the technical milling profession. Our Members are linked to the cereal milling and processing industries through an interest in technical milling and industry issues. ATMA commenced a biennial milling conference in Melbourne in 1976.
The conference has grown in stature with each subsequent conference and is identified as the major industry event on the milling industry calendar.
AMC is organised jointly by the Stock Feed Manufacturers' Council of Australia (SFMCA) and the Australian Technical Millers' Association (ATMA).
The next biennial conference for Australia's feed and flour milling industries is being held 20-22 May 2012 at the Gold Coast Exhibition and Conference Centre. The conference will be held in conjunction with PIX (Poultry Information Exchange) with expected attendance of 850 registrants. |

Our purpose is to provide a network for members of the Cereal Milling and Processing related industries to encourage professional development and technical leadership and advance the status and knowledge of the milling industry. We do this by providing a forum for networking and exchange of ideas with emphasis on training and educational opportunities.

The Distance Learning Course in Flour milling provided by the National Association of Irish & British Millers (nabim) has been delivered to students in Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands for 50 years and is now facilitated by ATMA Inc.
