Shift Miller (Flour)

Laucke Flour Mills is a family owned business, and is the market leading manufacturer of specialty flours, and mixes for trade, food service and home. Milling both conventional and certified organic wheat, rye, spelt, and triticale grains.

Laucke have a special focus on human health and the unique properties of individual grain varieties.

About the Role:

We are seeking persons who have had previous experience and/or formal qualifications in Flour Milling.

We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated and who will not only be capable in this position, but will also have a genuine desire to progress the operations of the flour mill whilst developing a career in food processing. This position requires the successful applicants to work as part of a team: both supervised and unsupervised, and be prepared to work shifts as required.  All applicants must have a strong end user/customer focus.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated person who can:

• Manage & direct all aspects of the flour milling process to ensure that all products are made to specification and are available to customers as required.
• Ensure that mill plant and equipment is maintained
• Ensure all quality parameters of finished products are met or exceeded.
• Follow and improve highly developed company procedures and policies
• Provide necessary supervision whilst on shift
• Work collaboratively with other millers to achieve business outcomes.

Demonstrated Ability

The successful applicants must have or be willing to obtain the following skills:

• Completion of the appropriate milling course/s
• Supervisory skills
• Intermediate level of computer skills
• High level of communication skills
• Forklift licence

This position is located in Strathalbyn, 52km South East of Adelaide, South Australia.
