Peter Cobb - General Manager of Laucke Flour Mills was presented with the 2014 ATMA Young Achiever Award at the Australasian Milling Conference on the 25th May 2014.

The 4 finalists for the 2014 award were:

Peter Cobb - Laucke Flour Mills, Bridgewater and Strathalbyn
Samuel James - James Stockfeed & Fertilizer, Nathalia
Ryan Dam - Weston Milling, Moorooka, and
Dirk Segerius - FPM Cereal Milling Systems Ltd, Tamworth

All four finalists were outstanding candidates and should be commended on their achievements.

To assist Peter further develop his career in the Australian milling industry, ATMA will facilitate a personalised overseas milling study tour. As part of the tour Buhler have very generously provided a two week milling course at their world class training facilities in Switzerland.

Peter is looking forward to the opportunity to research international flour markets and visit leading flour millers across North America and Europe as part of the tour He also aims to provide the Australian milling industy and Laucke with guidance on international milling best practice and emerging market trends and opportunities.

Peter will undertake the tour during 2015.
