Tritordeum purchased by an Amercian agricultural company

The continued growing interest in Tritordeum has caught the eye of Amercian agricultural company - Arcadia Bioscience.

Neesh Foods has been growing Tritordeum in Australia since 2018 and are excited to continue their collaboration with Arcadia Biosciences who have acquired the rights for the Tritordeum.

I am pleased to share with you that the Tritordeum business was recently acquired by Arcadia Biosciences, Inc., a leader in science-based approaches to enhancing the quality and nutritional value of crops and food ingredients. The transaction includes all physical and intellectual property assets to enable Arcadia to commercialize Tritordeum worldwide with exclusive rights. This acquisition marks a new chapter for the Tritordeum business which will enable us to extend our market reach beyond Europe and further enriches our portfolio of value-added sustainable specialty grains. Most importantly the resources and capabilities that Arcadia brings will enhance our ability to better support you and your customers.

This transaction has the full support of the original founders, Pilar and Paul Lazzeri (previous managing directors) as well as other key Agrasys stakeholders. Alba Martinez, our principal agronomic scientist, will continue in her role as the Tritordeum breeding program leader. I am also happy to share that I will lead commercial activities related to Tritordeum as well as other Arcadia products in Europe.

I wish to express my gratitude to all of you who have been part of the Tritordeum journey and who have been by our side during the pandemic and the difficult times we have gone through as a business. I very much look forward to continuing to build relationship-based business opportunities that are driven by the desire to deliver food innovation to you and your customers.

Speak to you soon, and thank you for your commitment

Warm Regards,
Etienne Vassiliadis
